Danny & Cheryl
"It was two days after my 29th birthday and I was working as a karaoke host, Thursday nights, at my aunt and uncle's bar in Everson. They told me they hired somebody to do karaoke on the weekends and he was coming in for training. In walks Danny, he comes right over to me, gives me a big hug and tells me happy birthday! It turns out it was his birthday the following day and my aunt and uncle had brought a cake for us. We ended up having dinner and cake together and talking more about ourselves than how to run karaoke. For the next several Thursdays I'd get really excited to go to karaoke night, hoping Danny would happen to show up. But he didn't. Then finally, a month later he was there! And the more we talked the more we found we liked each other. And the more I liked his hugs. In early October he asked for my phone number and two days later we had our first date on a Tuesday morning, sharing breakfast and a love for antique shopping. He kissed me amongst vintage record albums in the quiet downstairs of Penny Lane Antiques. The next day we met at Whatcom Falls Park where he met my dog Ike, and we shared our love of the outdoors, and another kiss on the secluded Scudder Pond trail, looking out at the lake. Everything fell into place after that. In two weeks we knew we loved each other and in one year we knew we wanted to get married. On Wednesday, April 27th, we went to Whatcom Falls again, as we had done so many times before. He took me down the trail where the old train tracks just hang in mid-air over the creek, only this day was a little different. This day he got down on one knee and made me the happiest, luckiest girl in the world!"
Working with Danny & Cheryl has already been a dream and I absolutely cannot WAIT until their wedding this October! <3
